Festival Pavilion & Beer Garden - Rotary Park
The Festival Pavilion is a family-friendly beer garden (hosted in partnership with TCU Place) and entertainment venue held at Rotary Park. This venue will feature a line-up of the best local bands performing original and covered music between 7:00 and 11:00 pm. There are different bands each night!
The Festival Pavilion venue is a great place to catch the fireworks which are set off at 9:30 pm both nights (Friday & Saturday) and it will also be the site of the Kilobots Combat Robots:
- Kilobots are 1 to 6 lb radio-controlled fighting robots that sport weapons ranging from spinning saw blades and pounding hammers, to crushing jaws and flipping arms.
- Worth noting: Saskatoon has the largest combat robotics events in Canada, and a growing community of helpful and knowledgable builders/operators.
** NEW ADDITION! **
In celebration of the Saskatchewan Roughriders' 100th anniversary, the Royal Canadian Mint has issued a new one-dollar circulation commemorating this milestone in Canadian sports history.
Between 7:00 and 9:00 p.m. in Rotary Park, people will be able to trade a dollar for a Riders Loonie (any combination of coins accepted and change available for bills). Max. 5 Riders loonies per person.

BAND BIO's:
Mykal Gambull is back and he will be bringing his style of rhythm and blues to the Festival Pavilion at Rotary Park. A new album is in the works and Mykal plans on previewing a few new compositions. If you missed Mykal Gambull last year, be sure to come watch & listen to one of Saskatoon's own!
Smokekiller is John Antoniuk, "one of the most capable solo players in Canada!" (The Sheaf). Smokekiller has showcased at South by Southwest (SXSW) in Austin, TX, and was a national finalist in 2009 for the Radiostar Songwriting Competition. With an EP from his new band "Chiba" due this fall, and a solo acoustic album coming in January 2011, Smokekiller is one of the hardest working musicians in the country.
Riff Raff
Riff Raff's set is inspired by the gamut of hard rock from the 60s and 70s. With a large and developed fan base across Western Canada, an unparalleled live show, and powerful musical ability, Riff Raff is at the top of the pack.
Think “summer-on-a-blanket rock.” Fronted by a duo of brothers, All of the Above play their own unique brand of folk-rock: A blend of warm acoustic and electric guitar tones; funky, danceable bass and drum grooves; songs about letting go, being free, summer love; and harmonies like only brothers can sing.
Oral Fuentes Reggae Band
Oral is originally from Belize and has lived in Saskatoon since 1992. Oral has played at the SaskTel Saskatchewan Jazz Festival as well as many other festivals and cultural shows. Oral’s Caribbean styles include Reggae, Soca, Punta-Rock and Brukdown (music from Belize). Come down and enjoy the energy Oral Fuentes Reggae Band has to offer!
