Special Program at Marr Residence
Marr Residence - the oldest building in the city of Saskatoon!
Visit the Marr Residence this Labour Day weekend Sunday. There is special programming offered and admission is by donation.
SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 4th: "Family Treasures" - 1:00-4:30 pm
John McGowan of McGowan's Antiques Saskatoon will be onsite and available for antique appraisals.
* Two item maximum per person and $5 per item for appraisal.
SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 5th: "Batoche Commemoration & Celebration" - 1:00-4:30 pm
The Battle of Batoche (1885), during which the Marr Residence served as a medical centre, will be remembered with a short program and a Metis & Cultural Fair.
This event will include: moccasin and dreamcatcher making and activities for the kids.
MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 6th: "Marr Harvest Fair" - 1:00-4:30 pm
The Marr Harvest Fair is an annual event, offered in partnership with Meewasin.
The fair includes: contests for the best jams and handcrafts, nicest homegrown produce, quiltmaking, etc.
People are encouraged to bring their entries!
